报告题目: A Robust and contact resolving Riemann Solver: ALE method

报告摘要:We study the solution behaviors of strong shock interaction for moving mesh schemes based on the one-dimensional Godunov and HLLC Riemann solvers. When the grid motion velocity is close to Lagrangian one, these Godunov methods may suffer from numerical shock instability. In order to cure such instability, a new cell centered arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian (ALE) algorithm is constructed for inviscid, compressible gas flows. The main feature of the algorithm is to introduce a nodal contact velocity and ensure the compatibility between edge fluxes and the nodal flow intrinsically. We establish a new two-dimensional Riemann solver based on the HLLC method. Numerical tests are presented to demonstrate the robustness and accuracy of this new solver. The developed ALE algorithm performs well on both quadrilateral and triangular grids and reduces numerical shock instability phenomena.

报告题目:A representation formula of incompressible liquid crystals flows and its applications

报告摘要:In this paper, we give a representation formula for solutions of incompressible liquid crystal flows in arbitrary dimensions. As a direct application, one can obtain a global strong solution in two dimensions as long as the image of the initial orientation field of the liquid crystal lies in a plane or is a non-trivial curve on the unit sphere. The results also hold for inhomogeneous incompressible liquid crystals.

报告题目:Stability of steady solutions for the Euler-Poisson system

报告摘要:In this talk, we will discuss the Euler-Poisson flows in nozzles. Our motivation and four types of flow patterns will be introduced, including subsonic flows, supersonic flows, transonic shocks and smooth transonic flows. We may focus on the case of subsonic flows, the unique existence of multi-dimensional irrotational flow and 2-dimensional Euler-Poisson flow will be reported.
